Wang is a co-founder and the chairperson of the HTC Corporation and VIA Technologies. Her husband is Wenchi Chen, the CEO of VIA Technologies. The most powerful woman in tech made a fortune manufacturing phones and gadgets sold under other companies' brands. Now she is getting even richer by marketing them under her own HTC. Moving beyond hardware, the firm bought Saffron Digital of London, a mobile content provider in February. Wang, a daughter of the late Taiwan billionaire Wang Yung-ching (王永慶), was a member of a group that bought 26% of Hong Kong's biggest television production company, TVB, in January.
