The residents in Andaman coastal provinces were ordered to evacuate to safety following the Indonesian mega-quake, Thai media reported Wednesday.

According to the report, the waves are expected to reach up to 4 meters, possibly lashing the Andaman coast at around 6 p.m. local time.
