Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin left Beijing on Wednesday afternoon, wrapping up his two-day official visit to China.

During his stay, Putin met with President Hu Jintao and top legislator Wu Bangguo. He also co-chaired the 16th regular meeting between the Chinese and Russian prime ministers together with Premier Wen Jiabao.

Putin arrived in Beijing on Tuesday as a guest of Wen.
