Japan's Kyodo News agency says special representatives from the US are to visit China and Japan, to discuss the Diaoyu Islands issue.

The team will include former US Secretary of State, Richard Lee Armitage. They're expected to visit Japan on Monday and Tuesday, for talks with Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda. They’ll then fly on to China for further talks.
