The Beijing Ducks, led by former NBA star Stephon Marbury, have won their first-ever title in the Chinese Basketball Association.

Edging defending champions Guangdong Hongyuan 124 to 121 at home, the Ducks won the best-of-seven series four games to one. Annual powerhouse Guangdong had been crowned champions seven times in the past eight seasons. The Ducks are the fourth CBA title holder, following the Bayi Rockets, Shanghai Sharks and Guangdong.
