The Chinese Foreign Ministry says the South China Sea dispute is not on the agenda at the ASEAN summit, and should not be.

Liu Weimin says discussing the topic of disputed territorial waters will only destroy trust between ASEAN countries. China has long stated that disputes should be resolved directly between the relevant countries -- and NOT on an international level.
