Qingdao sets up new district

The previous county-level city of Jimo under Qingdao’s jurisdiction will become the seventh district of the city. The new district’s administration will be sited on Zhenhua Street in Tongji subdistrict. The change in the administrative divisions is aimed to increase the city’s urban area. Qingdao plays a leading role in the development of the Blue Economic Zone of Shandong Peninsula, which focuses on marine industries. |
