A new calligraphy and painting center inaugurated in Qingdao

The Lushan center of Qingdao Painting and Calligraphy Institute was inaugurated in Jimo on April 21, according to qingdaonews.com. The training base will organize exhibitions, speeches, research, promotion activities and exchanges to invigorate the development of art and literature in Jimo. An oil painting exhibition of Yao Ming, vice-chairman of the Qingdao Artists Association, was held on the same day. The exhibition displayed 40 of Professor Yao’s works, focusing on landscapes, figures and still life. In spite of small sizes, these oil paintings give full expression to the painter’s artistic skills and painting style. |
