The 12th China International Navigation Expo, or China Qingdao International Ship Exposition, came to a successful close at the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center on June 1. More than 100 enterprises from 22 countries and regions around the world took part in the expo, and over 300 yachts, sailing boats and water sports gear were showcased.
Occupying an area of 26,000 square meters both on water and land, the expo received 30,000 visitors who spent close to 100 million yuan. Many of the exhibitors were satisfied with the turn out, as several luxurious yachts worth 10 million yuan were sold at the expo.
The ship corporations in Shandong Province earned about 30 million yuan in sales. Many citizens also came to enjoy activities like test drives, a ship design competition and the Miss Yacht contest.
