May 4th Square (五四廣場(chǎng))?is the symbol of Qingdao. It got its name in memory of the May 4th Movement. Located between the new municipal government building and the bay, it is composed of the Shizhengting Square, the central square and the coastal park. These three parts have their own features and the whole square is a combination of local Qingdao features and modern design. Free admission. The night view is excellent. With moist air and soft sea breeze, it's a wonderful place to have a walk after dinner. There are a lot of vendors selling various kinds of sea products and ornaments and many people provide photo-taking services so it's very crowded.
