Starting in August, Beijing will open train service to the Badaling Great Wall in suburban Beijing, Xinhua news agency reported Thursday.

The Line S2, the first ever high-speed railway built in suburban Beijing, departs from Beijing North Station for northwestern Yanqiing County, passing by two sections of the Great Wall -- Juyongguan and Badaling.

Running on the railway will be diesel motor train units with big sightseeing windows and rotatable seats.

Line S2 is scheduled to start operation on August 1.
