Day 1: Luobu Village

Located 35 kilometers southwest of Yuli County, Luobu Village is one of the largest villages in China's western region. The Luobu people are one of Xinjiang's most ancient tribes, who live next to a small lake at the edge of the Taklimakan desert, and lead a traditional lifestyle of fishing.

Transport: Take a train from Urumqi to Korla City, then transfer from the train to a bus to the village, changing at Yuli County station.
