Zhaojue, Sichuan Province

Zhaojue county is a county of Sichuan Province. It is under the administration of the Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, and also a region with the most variety of nationalities and the largest population of minority nationalities in Sichuan Province.

It boasts beautiful natural landscapes and customs. All have a long history and unique ancient customs. Among festivals in the region are: the Yi's 'Torch Festival', the Lisu's 'Niuwang Temple Fair' and the Buyi's 'Sixth of June Festival'. Besides, the Yi people's 'Carrying the Bride on the Back' and the Mosuo People's 'Azhu Marriage' are all appealing to visitors.
