Dalian University of Foreign Languages (DLUFL), originally known as Dalian School of Japanese Language, was founded in 1964. Over the past 40-odd years, DLUFL has fledged into a multi-disciplinary foreign language university that also offers programs in other fields like arts, economics, management, engineering and law. DLUFL offers 25 bachelor programs in 18 faculties and departments with 14 master programs, covering 10 foreign languages, including Japanese, English, Russian and French. The university has a faculty of more than 1000, including 300 professors and associate professors, as well as 60 foreign professors. Altogether over 20,000 students are currently studying at the university, including 800 postgraduates, 12,000 undergraduates, 900 international students, and 8,000 continued education students and various trainees.

大連外國(guó)語(yǔ)學(xué)院坐落在美麗的海濱城市——大連，擁有學(xué)士、碩士學(xué)位授予權(quán)。學(xué)院成立于1964年，時(shí)為大連日語(yǔ)專(zhuān)科學(xué)校。四十多年來(lái)，學(xué)院已經(jīng)建設(shè)發(fā)展成為以外語(yǔ)為主，以國(guó)際化辦學(xué)為特色，文、管、經(jīng)、工、法等學(xué)科相互支撐、協(xié)調(diào)發(fā)展的多科性外國(guó)語(yǔ)大學(xué)。學(xué)校設(shè)18個(gè)教學(xué)機(jī)構(gòu)，25個(gè)本科專(zhuān)業(yè)，14個(gè)碩士學(xué)位授予點(diǎn)，覆蓋日、英、俄、法、韓、德、西、阿、意、葡10個(gè)外語(yǔ)語(yǔ)種。目前，學(xué)院共有教職工近1000人，教授、副教授300余人，常年聘請(qǐng)來(lái)自15個(gè)國(guó)家9個(gè)語(yǔ)種的外籍教師60余名。院現(xiàn)有各類(lèi)在校生2萬(wàn)余人，其中研究生800余人，本科生12000余人，外國(guó)留學(xué)生900余人，成人教育、各類(lèi)培訓(xùn)生8000余人。
