Japan Table Tennis Association (JTTA) announced yesterday that the Yokohama Asian Table Tennis Championship, which was originally set for March 26-27, would be canceled due to safety issues.

On March 16, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Chinese Taipei, and Iran all informed Japan that they wouldn't send teams to the championship in the wake of the devastating 9.0-magnitude earthquake and tsunami, according to a report from sina.com.cn.
