After 25 days undergound, 3 miners come out alive

Rescuers carry one of the three survivors who have been trapped in a flooded mine for 25 days in Qinglong county, southwest China's Guizhou Province Sunday, July 12, 2009. The three miraculous miners were offered an intravenous drip at a makeshift tent where doctors tried to determine if their health conditions will allow any transportation to hospital for further treatment. The Xinqiao Coal Mine in Qinglong County was flooded on June 17 when 16 miners were working underground. One was found dead on June 25. Twelve remain missing. [Xinhua] |
