Giant spider 'terrorizes Liverpool'

Not as scary as Lime Street on a Saturday night. Passers-by in Liverpool's Dockland's look unconcerned as a giant spider tries to terrify them. The monster is part of a street theater performance lasting several days to celebrate Liverpool's reign as 2008 European City of Culture. The 37 ton monster was created by French company La Machine, whose 2006 creation, the Sultan's Elephant, drew more than one million onlookers on to the streets of London. [Xinhua] |
