The death toll from torrential rains reached 23 yesterday after three more deaths were confirmed in Hubei Province.
The three were killed by thunder and lightning as Yingshan county received as much as 29.1 mm of rain within an hour yesterday.
Flooding and hail triggered by torrential rain left 18 dead and 12 missing in Guizhou Province. Two were killed in Hunan.
