Senior Leader Stresses Law-enforcement
Adjust font size:

Senior Chinese leader Luo Gan has called for better law-enforcement to safeguard public security in the process of boosting economic development and building a harmonious society.

The people's basic interests should be protected and social conflicts be reduced from the roots, said Luo, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.

Luo, also secretary of the Committee of Political Science and Law under CPC Central Committee, made the remarks during his recent tour of Hainan, China's southernmost island province.

"We need to launch a crackdown on organized crimes and evil forces, and enhance anti-corruption measures to prevent them from undermining China's stability," said Luo.

Luo urged officials in the law-enforcement sector to improve their political and law qualities to provide better services for the society.
