A team of experts from the World Health Organization (WHO) and
China's Ministry of Health (MOH) arrived in Hefei, capital of east
China's Anhui Province, Tuesday to inspect the measure to fight
severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS).
The five-member WHO team was headed by Arne Brantsaether, an
epidemiology expert from Norway.
The MOH team included officials and experts from China's Ministry
of Health, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention of China
as well as some renowned hospitals.

Tuesday, the province had ten confirmed and eight suspected SARS
cases.
Wang Jinshan, governor of Anhui Province, met with the WHO experts
and briefed them on the efforts to prevent and curb the spread of
SARS.
The WHO experts said the report of the SARS situation in Anhui
Province was believable and they were satisfied with the efforts to
fight the disease.
The experts will inspect the disease control center and hospitals
in Hefei and Fuyang in the next four days.
