The ancient city of Nanjing in east China's Jiangsu Province is building the world's largest urban park.
The fifth-phrase of construction is now underway. When finished, it will integrate five scenic spots into one landscape zone.
In addition, the project also includes building boulevards and clearing the city moat.
The project is expected to quicken the pace of urbanization of the outskirts of the city.
The park will not only provide a beautiful backdrop for cultural and recreational activities, but also help relieve traffic and improve the local environment.
