Time and Seasons of Dunhuang

In 2018, Dunhuang Academy's public WeChat account launched a series of articles titled Time and Seasons of Dunhuang. The series, centered on the core concepts of "inheritance, humanity, poetry, and life", employs a multidisciplinary approach to explore the diverse values of Dunhuang culture. It reorganizes the precious murals, sculptures, and documents of Dunhuang and creatively integrates traditional Chinese culture—especially seasonal festivals—into the contemporary context. This initiative brings ancient Chinese customs, rituals, seasonal events, and daily life into the modern view, endowing traditional seasonal festivals with unique cultural significance and recreating ancient scenes of Dunhuang. Building on this foundation, a series of short videos titled Time and Seasons of Dunhuang was launched in 2022, making it an important digital brand for promoting Dunhuang culture and excellent traditional culture of China.

In 2022, the Dunhuang Academy published Chinese and Japanese versions of the cultural reading material Time and Seasons of Dunhuang. The book covers China's 24 solar terms and significant folk festivals, vividly showcasing the beauty of traditional Chinese seasonal festivals as well as the wisdom and philosophy found in ancient agricultural science, astronomy, and traditional customs. This work combines academic rigor with cultural and aesthetic value and has received widespread acclaim since its publication.

《敦煌歲時(shí)節(jié)令》

2018年，敦煌研究院微信公眾號(hào)推出“敦煌歲時(shí)節(jié)令”系列推文。這一系列以“傳承、人文、詩(shī)意、生活”為核心理念，多學(xué)科協(xié)同深入挖掘敦煌文化的多元價(jià)值，對(duì)敦煌的珍貴壁畫(huà)，彩塑和文獻(xiàn)進(jìn)行重新整理，創(chuàng)新性地結(jié)合了中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)文化——?dú)q時(shí)節(jié)令，將中國(guó)古代民俗、禮俗、歲時(shí)、節(jié)令和日常生活引入當(dāng)代人的視野，讓中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)歲時(shí)節(jié)令別具人文內(nèi)涵，重現(xiàn)敦煌古代生活圖景。以此為基礎(chǔ)，2022年推出《敦煌歲時(shí)節(jié)令》系列短視頻，使《敦煌歲時(shí)節(jié)令》成為宣傳敦煌文化和中華優(yōu)秀傳統(tǒng)文化的重要數(shù)字品牌。

2022 年，由敦煌研究院編著的人文讀物《敦煌歲時(shí)節(jié)令》中文版、日文版正式出版。全書(shū)以中國(guó)二十四節(jié)氣和重要民俗節(jié)日為線(xiàn)索，生動(dòng)展示了中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)節(jié)令之美，以及中國(guó)古代農(nóng)業(yè)科技、天文歷法、傳統(tǒng)民俗中的智慧與哲理。該書(shū)集學(xué)術(shù)性與文化審美價(jià)值于一身，自出版以來(lái)深受好評(píng)。
