The spirit of the manned space program 

China's Manned Space Program was initiated in the early 1990s with the outline of a three-step development strategy.

In October 2003, the Shenzhou-5 manned spaceship, developed independently by China, sent the first Chinese astronaut into space. The Chinese nation's dream of manned space flight had come true.

In October 2005, Shenzhou-6, also developed independently by China, completed a series of manned scientific experiments in space in the true sense. This signified that China's space technology had matched the achievements of the most advanced countries.

These successes were hard-won. Over the years, Chinese scientists created a tradition of relentless hard work under extreme and arduous conditions to solve critical problems and achieve successes.

載人航天精神

中國的載人航天工程于20世紀90年代初期開始籌劃,并確定了三步走的發(fā)展戰(zhàn)略。2003年10月,中國自主研制的“神舟”五號載人飛船把新中國首位航天員成功送入浩瀚太空并安全返回,標志著中國首次載人航天飛行取得圓滿成功,實現了中華民族的飛天夢想。2005年10月,中國自主研制的“神舟”六號載人航天飛行取得圓滿成功,完成中國真正意義上有人參與的空間科學實驗。此后,中國載人航天工程取得了連戰(zhàn)連捷的輝煌戰(zhàn)績,中國空間技術發(fā)展跨入了國際先進行列。在這一發(fā)展進程中,中國航天人自強不息、頑強拼搏、團結協(xié)作、開拓創(chuàng)新,取得了輝煌成果,培育鑄就了“特別能吃苦、特別能戰(zhàn)斗、特別能攻關、特別能奉獻”的載人航天精神。
