Chinese State Councilor Luo Gan met in Beijing Monday with a delegation from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), headed by Mohammed Nukhaira Al-Dhahiri, UAE Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Awqaf.
During the meeting, Luo said China had always attached importance to its friendly cooperative ties with UAE and exchanges and cooperation in various fields had widened remarkably since China and UAE established diplomatic relations.
He said the agreement on extradition just signed in Beijing was an important achievement in judicial cooperation between China and UAE, adding that it would further promote bilateral judicial cooperation.
Dhahiri said UAE also valued its ties with China, and hoped to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the economic, cultural and judicial fields.
Luo also briefed the delegation on China's latest developments in judicial and legal reform.
