China hopes and believes that Nepal will maintain peace, stability and development under the leadership of King Gyanendra and the Nepalese Government, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zhang Qiyue said Tuesday.
At a regular press conference Zhang said Nepal is a friendly neighbor of China, and China has closely followed the development of the situation in Nepal.
On Sino-Nepalese relations, China has always adhered to the principle of non-interference in each other's internal affairs,Zhang said.
