Argentine President Fernando de la Rua ended his five-day state visit to China and left Beijing Thursday evening.
During his stay in China, De la Rua held talks with Chinese President Jiang Zemin and met with Premier Zhu Rongji and other senior Chinese officials.
Besides Beijing, De la Rua also visited Shanghai and the northwest China city of Xi'an.
Before departure from Beijing this evening, he attended a news briefing held at the Argentine embassy.
