A drunkard called police with a false story so that he could invite them for a drink to celebrate the New Year in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, Nanjing Morning Post reported.
The single man felt lonely on New Year's Eve and called police, saying a waiter in a restaurant beat him.
Police finally found he was lying. The drunkard invited police to drink with him, saying he just wanted company to welcome the New Year.
