HONG KONG, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) -- The death toll from a fire that ripped through a residential complex in Hong Kong has reached 161, with identification of all victims through DNA tests continuing, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government said Saturday.

The number of fatalities may still rise, the HKSAR government said.

Hong Kong police had initially recovered 160 bodies from the fire-hit buildings. Subsequent forensic analysis revealed that one set of remains contained DNA from two people, confirming it belonged to a couple, the police said.

The fire, which broke out on Nov. 26, engulfed seven buildings in the residential complex Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po district of the city. Enditem
