Fang Xiping, former Party chief of Huainan City in east China's Anhui Province is being investigated for allegedly accepting bribes and power abuse, according to a statement released on Monday by the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP).

Prosecutors in Anhui's Ma'anshan City have been tasked with investigating them, the SPP said.
