Vice governor of southwest China's Yunnan Province Shen Peiping is under investigation for suspected serious violation of discipline and laws, the discipline watchdog of the Communist Party of China said on Sunday.

The CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection said this in a brief statement on its website.
