An exhibition is now on display at the Beijing Cultural Palace of Nationalities to show remarkable achievements the Tibet Autonomous Region has made over the past six decades. After the peaceful liberation of Tibet in 1951, especially after the reform and opening up policy was introduced into China in 1978, China has made great efforts to boost local economic, political, cultural, ecological and social developments in Tibet from 1951 to 2011.
