Hong Kong stocks surged 4.46 percent on Thursday morning, boosted by the good performance of U.S. stocks.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index went up 724.73 points to open at 16,975.00 on Thursday.

Overnight, all three major U.S. indexes rebounded after continuous drop, since many economic dates of this country issued Wednesday were better than expectations.
