COFCO Property, a leading real estate developer in China, said Wednesday its net profit for 2009 jumped 163 percent year on year to 373.5 million yuan (54.69 million U.S. dollars) on sales boom.

Last year's sales revenue totaled 2.01 billion yuan, up 85 percent from a year ago, said the company in an annual business report filed to the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

Earnings per share rose 162.5 percent to 0.21 yuan, it said.

Shares of COFCO Property advanced 0.1 percent to 9.81 yuan as of 9:58 a.m. on Wednesday.
