The Shenzhen Component Index closed at 12,437.57 points, up 95.83 points, or 0.78 percent, from the previous close.

Combined turnover Monday was 164.02 billion yuan (24.03 billion U.S. dollars), down from 182.5 billion yuan the previous trading day.
