About "Experience China" program

Since 1999, China's State Council Information office has organized a series of cultural events in several countries, including Germany, France, Switzerland, the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Russia, South Korea, South Africa, Israel and Turkey.

Collectively named "Experience China," the events have been well received by overseas governments, news media and the general public. They have become an established part of China's cultural exchange program, and provide a way for foreign audiences to understand and experience Chinese culture in their own countries.

The year 2012 marks the 48th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Tanzania, and the 50th anniversary of China-Uganda diplomatic ties. This year, Uganda also celebrates its golden jubilee independence from British rule.

During the two separate programs, China donated digital and print publications, and brought TV documentaries about China and variety shows to the people of the two countries. The local people got excellent opportunities to take a glimpse of Chinese culture.
