The official Xinhua News Agency says rising prices and popularity of green agricultural products is attracting the attention of China's farmers.
After years of excessive use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, more and more Chinese farmers are starting to adopt environmentally friendly production methods. They are now familiar with the required standards for soil, water and fertilizer, and have a good knowledge of national regulations relating to the production, processing and distribution of green produce.
In addition, some local governments are taking measures to popularize ecological agriculture and leading farmers to develop healthy, sustainable production.
