State Grid Chifeng Power Supply Company is on track to surpass the 20-billion-kWh mark in annual electricity sales, driven by infrastructure expansion and optimized customer services.

Through Dec. 9 this year, the company sold 18.88 billion kWh of electricity, increasing by over 7% year on year. At that point, the total electricity sold this year also matched the whole of 2024. Forecasts indicate that year-end sales will exceed 20.1 billion kWh.

In 2024, the company added 3.8 million kVA in distribution capacity. Through the "Three Zeros and Three Savings" initiatives aimed to streamline services and reduce time and cost, the company saved customers 74.42 million yuan in costs, directly contributing 360 million kWh to total sales growth.

Key highlights included major projects aimed to accelerate the grid connection of large-scale projects and completing load identification for 21 power projects.

The company worked closely with local governments to power 2,046 agricultural irrigation transformers and 3,193 electrified wells. Additionally, green channels were established to facilitate grid access for 18,073 households.

The company helped industrial enterprises and public institutions to promote energy efficiency. This led to 973 high-voltage users adopting energy substitution technologies. Tailored services were provided to major companies to help them optimize production and reduce costs.

Leveraging Chifeng's strategic position as a gateway to coastal regions, the company facilitated full electric heavy-duty truck coverage transportation for a local steel factory.

The company completed the grid connection for the largest heavy-truck charging station in eastern Inner Mongolia, 28 days ahead of schedule, and launched a pilot project to improve charging infrastructure.

Furthermore, the company expedited the connection of 46,500 kVA in charging station capacity along provincial borders and introduced a simplified application process for residential charging piles, increasing operational revenue.
